Vintage bikes for sale

I have two bikes for sale. Check out the pictures and read the descriptions, and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have. I’ll have a number of other bikes for sale once I get them ready to go; like a Specialized FSR, Kona Caldera, Nakamura city bike, and a nifty Glider townie.

P10505261991 Rocky Mountain Stratos, aluminium frame made in Japan. I think it’s a 19.5″ frame.

P1050525Stock parts on it were Shimano DX, but there’s some nice upgrades like Shimano XT hubs on Araya rims, and Dia-Compe SS-7 brake levers.

P1050520Rocky Mountain branded stem and handlebar, ODI Mushroom grips, and Tioga Psycho K tires.

P1050521I’d say it’s a 7.5/10 cosmetically, but it rolls really nicely.

P1050523I know a guy that can sell you some very nice reproduction decals, so you could make it look really nice if you wanted, or just enjoy it as is. $200

Next up is a 1992 Rocky Mountain Equipe, 17″ steel frame.

It’s the original paint, but someone took the main decals off it.

P1050531Just like the Stratos, most of the stock parts were Shimano DX, but it’s also got XT hubs on mismatched Sun and Mavic rims.

P1050529It’s got a Brodie stem and a very fancy Easton carbon bar.

P1050530Nearly new Panaracer Smoke and Dart tires.

It’s a bit rougher than the Stratos, but runs nicely, and I’m sure reproduction decals are available for this too. $150

  1. I am the original owner of a 1985 Gary Fisher Compatition 18″ mountain bike. Hand made Prestige tubing frame. The bicycle is 98% orginal and is excellent condition . Serial number is 18C19. I was wondering if there was any interested in possibly purchasing it?

    1. Hey Mike;

      I’m currently looking to downsize my collection, but I would try either the Vintage forum on mtbr.com, or retrobike.co.uk. 1985 is going way back, and people on those sites will be very interested in it, no question.

  2. I haven’t been here in a couple months. Love that Stratos. It looks so much like my Cirrus of that same year.
